Covid-19 fears catches up with Nigeria as FG bans officials from foreign trips

The Federal Government on Tuesday( March 17) barred all government officials, including public and civil servants, from travelling abroad.

The Presidential Task Force on Coronavirus announced the decision after a closed-door meeting in Abuja yesterday.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, who is also the chairman of the committee, said the ban takes immediate effect.

The federal government on Tuesday inaugurated presidential task force to monitor the development of COVID- 19 pandemic across the country and the globe.

Boss Mustapha, who inaugurated the task force, said the composition of the panel would enable Nigeria in its bid to effectively tackle the epidemic .
